The Administration on Aging (AoA), an agency in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides home- and community-based care for older persons and their caregivers. Their mission is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated and cost-effective system of long-term care that helps elderly individuals to maintain their dignity in their homes and communities and to help society prepare for an aging population. Here you can find assistance and services for older individuals and their families in urban, suburban, and rural areas throughout the United States.
 
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) administers Medicare, the nation's largest health insurance program, which covers nearly 40 million Americans. Medicare is a Health Insurance Program for people 65 years of age and older, some disabled people under 65 years of age, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure treated with dialysis or a transplant).

Enhance Fitness
EnhanceFitness is a low-cost, highly adaptable group exercise program specifically designed for older adults. Led by certified exercise instructors, EnhanceFitness is appropriate for seniors of any ability level. One-hour group classes include stretching, flexibility, balance, aerobics, and strength training. A scientific study provided the evidence that participation in EnhanceFitness results in improved muscular strength and mobility, which is associated with a decreased fall risk.  Participants also showed a decrease in pain and depression as well as experiencing better physical and emotional health. Additional research provides evidence that EnhanceFitness participants have reduced health care costs. At over 450 sites nationwide, EnhanceFitness continues to increase the number who benefit from this fun to be fit program.

National Council on Aging (NCOA)
The NCOA is a nonprofit organization with a national network of more than 14,000 organizations and leaders. Their members include senior centers, area agencies on aging, adult day service centers, faith-based service organizations, employment services, consumer groups, and senior housing facilities including assisted living.

SR will serve as a resource and advocate in areas of importance to the well-being of the senior community, with primary attention given to counseling, health and holistic health care, recreational, cultural, and housing including assisted living.
